"The proposed relocated, high school will grow to serve approximately 550 students in grades 9-12."
The commonwealth of Massachusetts assessed Cities and towns, including Boston, for a total of 1407 students (Full Time Equivalency). The Enrollment for 2017-2018 was 1422 with 439 students in grades 9-11. There were no 12th grade students. There were 255 in the 8th grade which would bring the FY 19 total to 694, if all students remained at the school.

The school year 2018-2019 numbers are only available for the 3rd Quarter. The Pre-liminary numbers show the Commonwealth will assess Cities and Towns for 1518 students at Roxbury Prep, based on enrollment.
This included 568 students in grades 9-12. And yet, the Proposal to the BPDA is for only 562 students.
There are 250 8th graders . If they all graduated to the 9th grade, the total for next school year would bring the estimated High School total to 742.

2019-2020 Charter School Pre-Enrollment Report
To: Superintendents of Districts Sending Students to Charter Schools
From: Joanna Laghetto, Data and Finance Coordinator, Office of Charter Schools and School Redesign
Date: April 1, 2019
In accordance with M.G.L. c.71 § 89(o), and 603 CMR 1.08(5), the purpose of this memorandum is to notify you of the number of students from your district who are expected to be enrolled in Massachusetts charter schools for the 2019-2020 school year.
I am providing you with a workbook, FY20 Charter School Pre-Enrollment Data, containing three worksheets that provide information about projected charter school enrollment for the upcoming school year, as of March 15, 2019. Information about the charter schools' waitlists will continue to be provided in a separate report and will be available later this spring.
The first worksheet, CS Pre-enroll by School lists the fiscal year 2020 (FY20) charter school pre-enrollment by charter school and grade separated by Commonwealth and Horace Mann. The second worksheet, CS Pre-Enroll by SD, identifies the number of students by sending district and by grade that have pre-enrolled in Commonwealth charter schools. The third worksheet, CS Pre-Enroll by SD & School, provides one more layer of detail and identifies the number of students by sending district, charter school, and by grade, that have pre-enrolled in Commonwealth charter schools. These reports include expected student enrollment for FY20 based on currently attending students and students who have been newly admitted for the 2019-2020 school year.
According to state regulations, no charter school shall receive tuition payments that exceed the total enrollment for that charter school as it was reported to the Department in the school's pre-enrollment report. As a result, while actual charter school enrollment from your district may differ slightly as of October 1, 2019, (SIMS submission) the total enrollment in a charter school from all districts, as listed on the first attached report, represents the maximum number of students for which the charter school may receive tuition payments in FY20.
For additional details on the calculation of charter school tuition and assessments, see Charter Schools' Tuition, Reimbursements and Enrollment webpage.
